We are currently seeking a Physician- Family Medicine or Internal Medicine to work in our Jackson Heights location.

Position Summary: Family- Provide primary care to adult, pediatrics and/or prenatal patients as well as assess and manage chronic conditions including HIV infection, STDs, etc. Provide primary care to adult, pediatrics and/or prenatal patients; assess and manage chronic conditions including HIV infection, STDs, Diabetes, Hypertension, Asthma, Hypercholesterolemia, Hepatitis B and C, in addition to acute infections/problems. Perform basic mental health assessments and treatment of non-emergent conditions such as anxiety and depression. Experience working with different communities of color and LGBTQ individuals. Practice medical care within the scope of license, training and credentials and in accordance with current standards of care and quality criteria adopted by the clinic and the NYSDOHAI. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team; attend team/clinic/Agency meetings. Serve as mentor to less Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants. Participates in clinic-wide Continuous Quality Improvement program and PEER Review.

Position Summary: Internal- Provide comprehensive medical care to a panel of patients on a continuing basis including but not limited to: Evaluation and management of acute and chronic medical conditions for adults. Advising patients on treatment recommendations, lifestyle modifications, and age-appropriate preventive screenings. Ordering and analyzing necessary diagnostic tests using high value care principles and EBM to inform clinical decision-making. Prescribing appropriate treatment and/or medication in an evidence-based manner and within the scope of licensure. Referring patients for consultant services when necessary. Engage in health promotion activities. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records about each patient, including observations during examinations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team. Participate in center wide and clinic-specific quality improvement projects and PEER Review.

Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Medical School; Successful completion of an accredited residency training program in Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine (Family only); Board Certification in IM or FP; Unrestricted license to practice medicine in NY; Current DEA certificate without restriction; BLS; Knowledge of HIV medical care; Ability to use common office software; Ability to use electronic medical record for patient care; Must have good human relations and communication skills; Bilingual is a plus (English plus Spanish or South Asian or East Asian or South East Asian); LGBTQ and HIV knowledge is a plus; Proof of immunization or immunity to certain communicable diseases (including influenza during the flu season) and testing for tuberculosis is required. These certifications are required by the NYC DOHMH Health Code, NYSDOH and OSHA.
