Responsibilities

The Public Health Representative III will assist in the coordination of the day-to-day implementation and provision of technical assistance and training for the State’s Medicaid Cancer Treatment Program and clinical aspects of the State’s Cancer Services Program which provides breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screening, follow up diagnostics and treatment referrals to eligible clients. The incumbent will also provide technical assistance for the design and delivery of preventive services and cancer control interventions, as needed.

Primary duties related to the State’s Cancer Services Program (CSP) includes providing technical assistance to the CSP contractor case management and patient navigation staff to identify and facilitate clients in need of screening services, to ensure timely follow-up of clients in need of diagnostic services after receiving abnormal cancer screening results, and assistance with treatment access after positive diagnostics; quality assurance for client eligibility and clinical services provision; reporting; medical record review, and performing other appropriate related duties as assigned.
