Ensuring Sustained Access to Telehealth Post Pandemic: Patient and Provider Attitudes and Beliefs Support Use of Remote Care
The COVID-19 pandemic has encouraged the Federal and State governments to implement policies that increase access to remote care options across a variety of health care services. Those new policies and flexibilities created a vital lifeline allowing many health care consumers to remain connected to care. At one point during the pandemic, more than two-thirds of New York’s federally qualified health center (FQHC) visits were occurring remotely. In June 2020, the Community Health Care Association of New York State (CHCANYS) and the New York State Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare (NYS Council) jointly developed and released the paper: Ensuring Sustained Access to Telehealth in the Post Pandemic Period.
