ADVOCACY ALERT! Ask Your Members of Congress to cosponsor the Health Care Workforce Innovation Act (H.R. 7307 / S. 4957)

Please reach out to your members of congress to relay the importance of cosponsoring and passing H.R.7307and S. 4957 for federal investment in health center led workforce development partnerships with high schools and community colleges by training medical and dental assistants, pharmacy technicians, community health workers, peer support specialists and other allied health professionals. 

These bills have been Introduced by Reps. Marcus Molinaro (R-NY) and Angie Craig (D-MN) and Senators Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Marsha Blackburn (R-TN).

Tips for framing advocacy during outreach include:

  • Sharing your story of CHC workforce challenges with Representatives and Senators.
  • Educating them about how expanding workforce development programs would help to meet those challenges.
  • Emphasizing that these programs create good-paying jobs with rewarding career paths in rural and underserved communities.
