Behavioral Health Service Expansion (BHSE) Grant

HRSA has announced the Behavioral Health Service Expansion (BHSE) grant, which is now open for applications. This grant, totaling $440 million, supports HRSA-funded health centers in expanding mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) services.

Key Funding Details:

FY 2024: $240 million available, with individual awards up to $600,000.

FY 2025: $200 million available, with individual awards up to $500,000.

Objectives: Increase the number of patients receiving mental health and SUD services.

How to Apply:

Phase 1: Submit initial applications via Grants.gov by 11:59 p.m. ET on May 24, 2024.

Phase 2: Submit supplemental information via HRSA Electronic Handbooks (EHBs) by 5 p.m. ET on June 21, 2024.

Applications must be completed in both systems as outlined.
