SAMHSA has published two Notices of Funding Opportunity (NOFOs) to support a major expansion of the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic model. SAMHSA plans to make over 150 awards under each opportunity, and each award will be for approximately $1 million annually for a four-year project period. Applications for both grants are due Tuesday, May 17, 2022. Click below for more information about each grant opportunity.
- Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) – Planning, Development, and Implementation Grants
- Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC)– Improvement and Advancement Grants
The CCBHC has many similarities to CHC model, including Federal requirements to provide care to all individuals regardless of ability to pay, use a sliding fee scale, and be governed by a Board whose members are representative of the individuals being served. In addition, CCBHCs are required to coordinate with area FQHCs and are reimbursed by Medicaid reimburses based on a PPS.
