Medicaid Reimbursement on eConsults and Remote Patient Monitoring

DOH has submitted a State Plan Amendment (SPA) to allow health centers to bill Medicaid for eConsults and Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) services in lieu of the PPS rate. CHCANYS is submitting a letter of support for this SPA. 

Once the SPA is approved by CMS, health centers can bill for these services starting January 1, 2025. While the exact fee schedule for health centers has not been released, similar services for non-health centers are currently reimbursed at approximately $27 for an eConsult and $41 for RPM, with RPM billable once every 30 days. 

We will share further updates, including the finalized fee schedule, as more information becomes available.
