The Deadlines for the Nurse Loan Repayment Program and National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program are approaching – There’s still time to apply!
With $1 billion in funding from the American Rescue Plan (ARP), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is prepared to make a record number of awards, helping eligible providers alleviate school debt while helping health centers serve their communities!
Applications for the Nurse Loan Repayment Program are being accepted through January 27, 2022, at 7:30 p.m. EST!
Eligible Providers:
- Licensed Registered Nurse
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, such as a Nurse Practitioner
- Nurse Faculty Member with qualifying Nursing Debt.
- You received your nursing education from an accredited school of nursing located in a U.S. state or territory
Applicants may receive:
- Up to 85% of unpaid nursing education debt* for eligible providers who work two years in either
- A Critical Shortage Facility (CSF) in a high need area
- An eligible nursing school, as nurse faculty (NF)
*Funding will be awarded to those who need the most help financially.

Applications for the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Forgiveness Program are being accepted through February 3, 2022, at 7:30 p.m. EST!
Eligible Providers:
- Physician (MD/DO)
- Physician Assistant (PA)
- Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Certified Nurse Midwife
- Dentistry (DDS/DMD)
- Registered Dental Hygienist
- Mental and Behavioral Health
Applicants may receive:
In exchange for two years of full-time or half-time service in a qualifying urban, rural, or tribal community with limited access to care, applicants may receive:
- Two years full-time: Up to $50,000 in exchange for two years of full-time service (minimum 40 hours/week, 45 weeks/year) at an NHSC-approved site.
- Two years half-time: Up to $25,000 in exchange for two years of half-time service (minimum 20 hours/ week, 45 weeks/year) at an NHSC-approved site.
