RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees all clinical activities of the Boriken Neighborhood Health Center and other East Harlem Council for Human Services Programs. Plans, organizes, supervises and evaluates health care services, including primary care, diagnostic, treatment, therapeutic, support, health education and other health-related services. Ensures the coordination of referrals to other agencies and providers for services not available onsite. Responsible for oversight of performance improvement activities, development of new and evaluation of existing clinical programs, maintenance of an appropriate complement of competent, trained health care staff and up-to-date clinical and operational policies and procedures, and ensuring that all services are provided in accordance with those policies and the guidelines for patient-centered quality care.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of approved medical or osteopathy school. Completion of approved residency. New York State License. DEA Registration. Infection Control Certificate. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate. Board Certified. Master in Public Health preferred. Bilingual Spanish preferred. At least 10 years of experience providing primary care and five years of administering services. Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of principles and practices of medicine. Knowledge of Patient Centered Medical Home Principles. In-depth knowledge of electronic health records. Ability to work both independently and to collaborate with teams of individuals. Excellent inter-personal and relationship management skills. Excellent oral, written and presentation skills. COVID vaccine required.
