The Dentist is responsible for providing primary dental care - in accordance with current clinical standards and law to Callen-Lorde patients, and for providing such care in a sensitive and non-judgmental manner, and for making appropriate internal and external referrals. He/she is expected to maintain a high degree of professional competence and the highest possible ethical standards and to function as part of a care-giving team.
Qualifications
Education, Experience
- DDS/DMD/CGME degree from an approved dental school.
- Current NYS licensure.
- Documentation of current Board certification.
- DEA Controlled Substances Registration Certificate.
- Familiarity with New York State Dental Medicaid/ADAP guidelines.
- Certification of completion of oral cancer detection mandate course.
- Knowledge of community health principles is desirable.
- Experience serving Callen-Lordes target populations preferred
