Position Summary
The Dental Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting our dental providers in delivering high-quality dental care. This position involves assisting with a variety of dental procedures, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide chair-side assistance to dentists, hygienists, and residents during dental procedures.
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure proper sterilization of equipment.
- Assist with patient record management and charting.
- Provide oral hygiene instructions and post-operative care.
- Handle emergency dental situations as needed.
- Operate digital X-ray equipment and process dental radiographs.
- Assist with laboratory procedures, including pouring and trimming study models.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and training programs.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor towards patients.
Work Schedule:
Dental Assistants are scheduled to work, Monday - Friday 8:15 - 5:15pm with 1-2 evening hours (11am-7pm or 12pm-8pm).

Qualifications
- Dental Assistant Diploma/License
- Current CPR certification
- Strong computer skills
- Minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient clinical setting
- Experience working with diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals and people living with HIV/AIDS (preferred)
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
